In previous weeks, World Championships organisers took charge of expansion of Huelva 2021 brand. Many destinations were targeted with the aim of publicising all the details of the Senior and Absolute World Championships.
More than 120 schools and secondary schools in Huelva and province were reached. In addition, the marketing team went to representative places in the city such as the Paseo Marítimo, Mercado del Carmen or Avenida Andalucía to complete the promotional campaign. They have also collaborated with other sporting events in the city such as the Spanish Basketball Championship and a football match in El Nuevo Colombino. Results of this preliminary work are being reflected in the first days of the championship, which has been attended by hundreds of Huelva residents.
Likewise, organisers have always been aware of the importance of instilling the values of Badminton in the youngest players, which is why they considered essential their participation in such an important event. In fact, more than 7,000 primary, secondary and baccalaureate students from 60 schools are expected to arrive at the Carolina Marín Pavilion in next few days. As well as watching the tournament live, they will be able to take part in quizzes, painting activities and they will play matches with innovative materials designed to promote badminton outdoors.
